Follow the Trail Less Traveled: Conquer the Canning Stock Route on an epic 28-day adventure. It’s one of the most challenging off-road 4×4 tracks in the world!

The Canning Stock Route is a track that runs from Halls Creek in the Kimberley region of Western Australia to Wiluna in the mid-west region. With a total distance of around 1,850 km, it is the longest historic stock route in the world. In 1959 the final cattle driving run was completed, leaving the route for travelers who want a truly ‘off the beaten track’ experience. It is also one of the most isolated tracks on earth. This makes it one of the most challenging 4WD tracks anywhere in the world today. The vastness of the country and the stark beauty of the rock formations grab your attention and the occasional magnificent display of wildflowers make for one special part of Australia to experience.

Keys4Adventure is run by people who love 4-wheel driving, and they made sure that every single ‘t’ is crossed and ‘i’ is dotted when this tour was planned. And we mean everything! We carry full medical kits including a defibrillator, fresh water, generators, satellite phones, shade, sunscreen, tool-kits, food, jump-starters, fly nets, compressors, 4WD recovery gear, EPIRB’s, instantaneous hot water, and the little essentials all packed into 2 of our very own tour vehicles. And just to be certain everyone is safe and happy, we carry double the required amount of every essential item.

As well as carrying fuel, there are two small settlements on the track for refueling and supplies; Kunawarritji and Billiluna.

We provide all of your main meals plus morning and afternoon tea along with bikkies and cuppas for the day.We use a brand of high quality freeze dried meals, which are packed with nutrition, freshness and Australian ingredients. We use these these incredible creations due to weight and storage restrictions of our vehicles, and because the process of freeze drying retains all the goodness of the food without it going stale, soggyΒ  or rotten, especially when it comes to fruit and veggis. The meals only require water, and they are DELICIOUS!

(see our FAQ’s for more info).

After making your booking, you will receive a menu so you can choose your own meals and outline any allergies or dietary requirements. All you have to pack is your bottled water, favourite beverages and snacks!

Breakfast – cereals/oats, toast and fruit. Hot breakfast is provided some mornings and also may have leftover dinner toasted sandwiches or bubble and squeak.
Lunch – soups, curries, pasta and leftovers or toasted sandwiches.
Dinner – pastas, curries and soups
Desserts/Supper – Billy Tea, coffee, Milo, campfire marshmallows. Some nights we may get stuck into making dampers!
